It all began with a task, because a decision by Mahhi, Kanika and Gullu hurt Arishfa’s lifeline. Still, she admitted that Tara comes before everything else. Then she turned to the financial question, and her answer was clear. “I didn’t take a single penny in alimony or even ask for maintenance,” she said. She added that she wanted to rely on her own work and keep her daughter’s future secure.
She also revealed that a judge pressed her four times to change her mind, yet she held firm. Her reason was simple, because Jay had built that income through exhausting days of work. Jay would never turn her away, she emphasised, but she could not ask anyone for “his hard-earned money.”
