How Rise and Fall 2 reached a tense Fortune Floor
As reported by India Today, Priyanka Chahar let the pot fall to Rs 6 lakh in episode 10 before acting. The pot had begun at Rs 38 lakh. Because she waited so long, Rs 32 lakh vanished before the round ended. Her choice shocked many Rulers, since the money kept falling for a long time.
The trouble began before the task even started. Gautam Gulati and Priyanka had teamed up on day one to reach the Penthouse. This time they argued loudly, and she challenged his honesty. She also said he “cannot stand a strong woman”. Gautam replied, “You’re Priyanka, you’re the queen. I am the king here.” That fight set an angry tone for everything that followed.
Then came the Fortune Floor task in Rise and Fall 2. Gautam played solo while three duos joined him, and the votes split evenly. Tej Pratap Yadav broke the deadlock, which left Priyanka and Karan Patel facing the risk of a Fall. Blinking first meant a drop to the Basement, and the other player would keep a Penthouse seat.
Why the late button press cost so much
The timing was risky, yet it also looks calculated. By delaying until the pot was nearly empty, Priyanka Chahar kept it from reaching zero. Had the money run out completely, neither of them would have kept a Ruler’s seat. Her move also let Karan keep his place in the Penthouse. Even so, the Tower paid heavily for that safety.
Losing Rs 32 lakh in one round left the Rulers of Rise and Fall 2 rattled. Arguments broke out soon after the button press. Swara Bhasker and Raj also traded sharp words, hinting at strain between them. Such friction was bound to appear once real money started disappearing. Meanwhile, Priyanka now has to adjust to life in the Basement.
Before the show began, Priyanka Chahar said she was ready to “take on whatever position comes my way”. That line now sounds fitting. She has earlier reality television experience, so this season offers a different test. The Basement may be harsh, but it also gives her a fresh chance to climb back.
What the Rise and Fall 2 fallout means
Priyanka’s move to the Basement has left the balance of power in the Tower looking unsettled. Rulers must now rethink whom they trust, because the fallout has split the group. Future votes may therefore look very different. Rise and Fall 2 thrives on such shifts, since rank depends on choices rather than scripted outcomes.
Virender Sehwag hosts the series, which comes from Banijay Asia. It adapts a UK format in which celebrities move between the Penthouse and the Basement based on their choices. Fifteen celebrities joined at the start, and the show will run for 42 days. Therefore, a single bad call can reshape the whole Tower.
